The Village
Châtel is a charming traditional French Alpine village, close to the Swiss border. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants and a great après ski atmosphere. The wide choice of ski and snowboard equipment shops offer everything you could possibly want, and great bargains can be found, particularly towards the end of the season.
There's a bowling alley, cinema and indoor pool. Why not try ice skating, snow shoeing or follow the walking trails. You could whizz down the Bob-Luge or even try the Fantasticable, and fly 1200 metres across the valley harnessed to a cable!
